Art Project for Kids: Sailboat

  Toddler-Net on Facebook
This project helps to develop imagination, motor skills and logical thinking.
Materials:
1. 1 sheet of blue paper.
2. 1 sheet of white paper
3. 1 sheet of brown paper (or any other color except blue).
4. Glue stick.

Show your child a few pictures of simple sailboats if he/she doesn't know what a sailboat looks like. Talk about how they look, why they have a sail and where we usually see sailboats. Ask him to tear a sail out of the corner of a white sheet of paper and then a boat out of differently colored sheet of paper. If the child wants, he can add other details, such as a cabin, a mast, or a small flag. Combine all of the shapes into a boat and glue them to the blue sheet of paper.
