Kids Halloween Craft - Book

Although this project is rather simple but it is fun to make and children like it. Cutting with scissors promotes motor development and drawing about a specific theme helps to develop an associative thinking. It is suitable for children 4-7 years old. For younger kids you can try our project "Halloween coloring book".

Materials:
1. White copy paper
2. Orange construction paper (optional)
3. Scissors
4. Stapler
5. Colored pencils or crayons or markers

Print out first print-out (below). Suggest to your child to color it in orange to make it look like a pumpkin. This will be the cover of the book. The print-out can also be traced onto the orange construction paper and this will be the cover. In our project we chose this option.

Book of Halloween cover page printout
The second print out (below) will serve as the pages of the book. (You can make as many pages as you like: for all you children to make "you family Book of Halloween" or "your class Book of Halloween").
Halloween Book pages printout
Cut out pumpkin shapes from both print-outs yourself as shown below or let your child do it depending on the child's age.
How to make Halloween Book craft
An adult has to staple the cover and the pages together. Then suggest to a child to draw his/her favorite Halloween characters or what he/she likes about this holiday. You or your child can write his/her name and/or a title "My book of Halloween" on the cover as shown.
