As the Halloween season approaches, I noticed that our neighbor Anne put up these interesting paper bag pumpkins and cats on her windowsill, and I really loved this idea. This post is specifically about the pumpkins because they're very simple and can be made by small children as long as they know how to use scissors and glue!
Supplies:
1.
Paper bag (grocery bag for large pumpkin, sandwich bags for small pumpkins)
2. Orange construction paper (letter-size for small, and a larger size for a larger pumpkin)
3. Green construction paper (for stems),
4. Gluestick,
5. Scissors,
6. Dark crayon or marker.
1. Cut out a piece of orange construction paper the size of your bag, with the top cut to resemble a pumpkin.
2. Cut out stems from green paper.
3. Glue everything to folded paper bags.
3. Glue everything to folded paper bags.
4. Trim the bag to the shape of your pumpkin.
5. Put a stone or weight inside the bag.
6. Glue together the top of the bag.
