Snowman from a pine cone and Play-Doh

  Toddler-Net on Facebook
This project contributes to developing children's motor skills and cognitive abilities such as planning their work. It also develops creativity and imagination and shows how to combine different materials in one artwork.

Materials:
1. Play-Doh or home-made play dough
2. Pinecone
3. A couple of dry sticks (for making hands)
4. A couple of pepper corns for eyes

Make a play dough ball and attach it to the top of a pine cone. Make feet by cutting a second play dough ball in half and attaching the halves to the pine cone. Make black eyes using pepper corns. Attach two sticks to the sides of the pine cone with small pieces of play dough to make hands. We used a small pebble for the nose and a piece of pink play dough for the mouth. You can use small twigs or dry grass to make hair.
To make a Snowman, use white Play-Doh, or colorless play dough that can be painted white afterwards.
